New Rules:
Along with fifteen new castle locations, three new playable prisoners, and a new boss, this expansion for Escape the Dark Castle introduces an entirely new mechanic to the system Plague! Prisoners will now encounter Carriers - plague-infected lunatics bent on spreading the disease. Prisoners can contract, spread, and even succumb entirely to this rampant atrocity, adding a new dimension and weight to the games risk-reward decisions.

A copy of Escape the Dark Castle is required to use this expansion.

ABOUT ADVENTURE PACKS

Adventure packs are designed to expand and deepen your adventures.You must have a copy of Escape the Dark Castle to use one.

In terms of content, each Adventure Pack follows a similar format - adding new chapters, characters and items to the game. Each pack also introduces a new mechanic which brings a little more complexity - but these new elements are always optional.

You can play the chapter cards from an Adventure Pack in order (as in, not shuffled) as a standalone themed quest of it's own.

Alternatively, you can mix the new chapter cards into the contents of the main game for even greater variety.

If you change your mind later, you can easily separate the cards by set, using the unique codes subtlety printed onto each card.

The idea is that you can pick and choose before each game from among all the cards in your collection, which cards and rules you'd like to play with this time. So, you can tailor the game to your taste and level each time you play.

For example, maybe you want to play the chapter cards from the base set, but with the Curses mechanic from Adventure Pack 1, and also the Companions from Scourge of the Undead Queen. No problem!
