Transformers Action Figures & Toys
Transformers first hit the shelves in 1984 and have been popular with children and adults alike, ever since. Originating as two separate toy lines in Japan (Micro Change and Diaclone, fact fans!), Hasbro bought the rights to these toy designs and hired Marvel comics to create characters and a suitably larger-than-life back story. Veteran comic-book writer Bob Budiansky rose to the challenge, creating iconic characters like Optimus Prime, his nemesis Megatron, their doomed planet of Cybertron, and a detailed history of their crash-landing and subsequent reawakening on Earth.
In the decades since, Transformers has become one of the biggest pop-culture touchstones of our times. With a total of ten feature films (including both animated and live action movies), 26 cartoon series totalling almost 1,200 episodes, and 33 comic runs (again, with around 1,200 issues) between Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, and several independents, the franchise just keeps on going.
But it all started with the toys…
Official Transformers figures
From the original Generation 1 range of Transformers in the mid-80s through the Beast Wars range of the 1990s, and the Armada figures of the 2000s, to today’s current run, Transformers figures have always been of the highest quality. Part toy and part test of manual dexterity, they have always been popular amongst nimble-fingered fans of the franchise.
At A1 Toys we make sure to keep an extensive stock of the latest Transformers figures ranges. Whether you’re on the side of the Autobots or the Decepticons, we’ve got everything you want right here. Some of our most popular ranges include:
Transformers Authentics: released in 2017, the Authentics series is more kid-oriented, with simpler design and a less-challenging transformation process.
Transformers Studio Series: released to coincide with the Bumblebee movie, the Transformers Studio Series celebrates ten years of live action excitement on the big screen.
Transformers Bumblebee Toys: Bumblebee has been one of the most popular Autobots since the start of the franchise and was the second character ever to appear on-screen in the cartoon. As such, his toys appear in almost every line – usually more than once.
Transformers R.E.D. figures: R.E.D stands for Robot Enhanced Design. These highly-detailed sculpts are non-transforming figures, depicting characters from a range of Transformers continuities.
