A1 Toys pre-owned products buy in process

A1 Toys will consider most toys, collectibles, comic books or graphic novels for buy in at our Parnie Street store. We do not make offers based on digital images. We need to see it in person at our store. Our dedicated gaming store Static Games does the same for anything gaming related, except video games. The regularly buy in Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic The Gathering card collections.

We are a small team at A1 Toys and there's always plenty of shop related tasks to be completed, so please get in touch to arrange a suitable time to visit. Even if you have one item, we are not always able to look at it straight away and without prior arrangement we may have to send you away with your collection. You may be required to leave your products with us for a few days dependent on collection size and in-store workload.

COMIC BOOK BUY INS

 

If you have more than 30 comic books in total we class this as bulk and pay 20p per issue. If you have key issues that you believe are more valuable than the other bulk, we ask that you separate these and we will value these separately. However we only value up to 30 individual issues at a time, so if you have more than this you may be required to bring them in on separate visits.

 

Pricing for key issues is based on the average selling value on eBay sold listings over the past few months. We will offer 50% of the average selling price for key issues.

 

All prices given above are subject to inspection of comic books. eBay average pricing is for the same comic books in similar condition.

 

Signed products without a suitable C.O.A. will not be considered at a premium price.

 

We do ask that you call us to arrange a suitable time to bring your collection in as we are tight on storage space and generally always have collections in being reviewed.

TOYS & COLLECTIBLES BUY INS

 

We usually pay 50% of the average selling price of the same product in the same condition on eBay for toys and collectibles but we do reserve the right to make exceptions when required. This can be due to our in-store sales slowing for certain pre-owned ranges or where we do not have a history of selling a particular type of collectible.

Current exceptions to the 50% are below but this is not an exhaustive list and can change at any time without notice.

--Funko POP! and other Funko products: we are offering less on these as large collections are being dumped to the market causing the pre-owned pricing to be all over the place. We will buy in POP! but we're offering very low prices on these.

--Graphic novels: pre-owned graphic novels don't sell for us if we price them at more than a few quid. We pay £1 per good condition graphic novel. We may consider some periodical UK graphics such as Eaglemoss and Ultimate Marvel Collection dependant on our current stock level but we decide this on an as necessary basis as we don't always take these in.

GAMING RELATED BUY INS

Static Games are constantly appraising collections, so please get in touch to arrange a suitable time to visit. Even if you have one item, we are not always able to look at it straight away and without prior arrangement we may have to send you away with your collection. Pricing on gaming products, especially card games is volatile and what we pay varies dependant on products and condition.

 

We do not price based on lists or digital images.

We require two forms of identification for cash payouts and you must be 18 years or older. One photo ID and one proof of address ID.

--The below are acceptable for photo identification.
--Valid Passport
--UK Photo Drivers License (full/provisional)
--EU Identity card
--Police or Armed Forces Warrant card

The below are acceptable for proof of address. This form of ID will require it to be dated within the past 90 days.
--Utility Bill
--Bank Statement (Official mailed from the bank, not a statement that you have printed out yourself)
